You got a new Graphtec FC8000 plotter and are ready to send jobs over.  You have configured a new condition settings for a specific media that you are cutting and then send the job out through the software.  However, the plotter reverts back to Condition 1.  In fact, anything you send outputs using Condition 1.  What is going on?  Here’s how to fix the issue so the plotter doesn’t change when you send a job over.

Every once in awhile, we have customers who are having trouble getting their plotter to read registration marks on a print-to-cut job. If pinch rollers are in the proper position as well as language and step-size match between software and plotter, it may be time to run a complete reset of the plotter back to factory default settings.

Since Omega 2.5 came out, Gerber has offered a solution for those who are running legacy Edge printers to run through a USB to Parallel adapter. This allowed for running the printers without the need for a parallel port and even worked for up to Windows 7 32-bit operating systems.
